2000 Sheets of Paper in One Day

On Friday, June 10th at the University of Iowa Center for Book Oakdale Paper Production & Research Facility, twelve crazy papermakers, including yours truly, set out to recreate the historical paper mill output of 2000 sheets in one day. Working as a part of three person team, we took turns at the vat, couching, laying, parting, and hanging sheets to dry. My best time at the vat was 50 sheets in nine minutes. MATH!
